About Us: Friends of the Miller Hill Playground, Inc. was founded by a dedicated group of parents, educators, and administrators with a singular goal: to raise the necessary funds for a state of the art, accessible playground for Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary (MHSL).

Mission: At Friends of the Miller Hill Playground, Inc., our mission is to create a safe, adaptive, engaging, and enduring playground for the children of Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary, and the entire Averill Park community; that will promote physical, social, and emotional growth through active and imaginative play.
Why Support Us? Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary serves the largest group of elementary students in the Averill Park Central School District, and providing them with a safe and engaging playground is essential for their physical and social development. With your support, we can create a space that encourages children’s outdoor play and fosters a sense of community among families in our area. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and 100% of all donations will directly support the playground project.
